Why We Like The Patagonia Nano Puff Insulated Jacket
Rock, ice, or snow: Whatever element we're scaling, we're warm in the Patagonia Nano Puff Insulated Jacket. The resilient insulation brings the heat and leaves the heft and bulk behind, keeping our load light, while the tough treated exterior blocks winds and sheds flakes. Built inside and out with recycled fibers, this essential layer hits all the marks.

Sizing different than down sweater

I have the women's nano puff that I love and feel fits true to size. I purchased one for my husband so that he can also have a lighter weight packable jacket. He fits perfectly in him medium down sweater jacket. The medium nano puff was comically small on him. Somehow I missed this in the other reviews. It does indeed run small!

Great fit, I'm between a medium & large but chose medium for this. Fits in a "loose fitted" fashion on me. I like it, very comfortable. It packs down into its own interior chest pocket. It's a pretty tight fit in there, but it works great.

So far this jacket has been great to wear on most occasions esp. in cold climate where layering is necessary. Only downside is that it doesn't have big pocket inside like my Patagonia's micro puff jacket.

Stitching failed after one month

Great looking jacket. Lightweight and warm. Loved wearing it for the first month of casual use. Then the stitching on the sleeves started to fail. I had several loop pulls and many broken stitches hanging off the jacket. Doing a quick online search shows this is an ongoing issue with the nano puff. Why hasn't Patagonia fixed their faulty method of stitching? It's going back to Patagonia for credit.

Jacket was great for 1st 3-4 months. But seams started falling abate, and even (moderate wear) w/o washing it lost its loft and became a wrinkled mess.

PRO's: Looks cool, lightweight, stuffs into the chest pocket like a small pillow with a loop for a caribiner. It's best as a layer than a standalone jacket CON's: Stitching gets caught on the slightest things and pulls out easily, it's shockingly ripped in several small places on things it shouldn't, I feel that it's not as warm as a puffy jacket ought to be, Expensive. I really want to like this jacket more than I do, but it isn't worth the cost. Much better options at a lesser price. Pataguchi missed the mark on this one, would return it if I could.

I have used this much more than I anticipated. It easy easy to grab when it is a little chilly but you don?t want to commit to a heavier ?winter? coat. It is remarkably warm yet so light you don?t feel like you are wearing a jacket at all.

Great Jacket

I've had the jacket for a month. I have worn as a standard jacket in 35 degree weather up to 55 degrees. The jacket is warm and breathes very well. I also use as layering in the colder weather, its great because its thin enough to fit under may heavier coats and Gore Tex rain coat. I did a bunch of research before buying this jacket comparing to other brands and i am total happy with my decision. Just pull the trigger and do it.
